Blue sapphire is the precious blue colour gemstone which is also known as neelam in hindi and belongs to the corundum mineral family. It is ruled by the Saturn planet, Saturn is the most powerful planet, because a wrongly placed Saturn or weak Saturn can destroy life. Blue sapphire is worn for good luck; it attracts good luck and gives many other benefits to the wearer. It can be worn in a ring, pendant or in any other jewellery but it should not be worn in gold. Gold is usually avoided for blue sapphire but silver is suitable for it.
